Highly recommended tour guide Sarah Lev I have been on a number of Sarah Lev’s tours, and every time I have learnt so much. Her knowledge of Singapore history, art, culture and architecture is impressive, and she knows how to structure tours which have just the right mix of walking and talking, and are designed with the tour participants in mind.

Delightful and Informative! If you want to see and understand the marvels of Singapore's blended cultures and cuisines, history and modernity, treat yourself to a guided tour by Sarah Lev. Equal parts docent, cultural encyclopedia, historian and art afficionado, Sarah weaves it all into an intricate tapestry that leaves her clients informed, entertained, and looking forward to their next Southeast Asian adventure.

Singapore Jewish Heritage Tour We booked the Jewish Heritage Tour with Sarah. The tour itself was really interesting and we learned a lot about jewish life in Singapore. Sarah was a wonderful tour guide and since she’s well connected within the jewish community it was an unique experience. We got very lucky and got shown around the chesed-el synagogue by the rabbi. He answered all of my and my boyfriend’s questions and Sarah made sure to explain more basic elements of Judaism for my boyfriend who had little prior knowledge. So the tour is also very suitable for non-jews! I saw that she’s also guiding art centered tours as well which I will definitely book if I’m in Singapore ever again.

Rich history of Singapore Jewish life Singapore is a multicultural city which has grown in the past few years to becoming a city of extraordinary mix featuring vacation destination, foodie heaven, architectural innovation and living its history. Sarah was our guide and she today focused on old and new Jewish life in Singapore. Most don’t know that for example Jewish life began in the early 1800s, as Iraqi Sephardic came as traders. First textiles and foods as well as money changers and shipping. The first synagogue was started in 1841 and it still remains today. Sarah showed us a museum, a great deal of history there and a legacy of leaders through 200 plus years Sarah explained the building and legacy for the community Today while total community is small, there is a wonderful store for food and wine as well as Australian meats. We drove around and learn where the first Iraqis settled and how they moved over the years. There were difficult times during WW11 However the community survived. We learned so much in the three hour tour I can highly recommend it to allow

Kampong Glam Sultan Mosque Sarah is a great tourguide, who puts everyone at ease straight from the get go. She speaks slowly and clearly, will often use maps or pictures to highlight important places and only explains once you get to a place. When you walk, you walk, which is great because than you van taken in the scenery in your own pace without worrying if the front group is getting a private tour as they are closer to the guide! First time inside the mosque and learned a whole lot about Islam and ramadan. Would recommended Sarah to anyone visiting Singapore.

Great Guide made for a great day! Sarah is knowledgeable and engaging. I don’t think we could have asked for more in a guide to the Jewish sites, and the Jewish history of Singapore. Sarah has amazing personal connections to the Jewish community and its leadership and gives a true ‘insider’s’ perspective. The tour was easy to arrange and thoroughly worthwhile. Worldly and wise, Sarah is a treasure to her community, and we are walking away with a profoundly deeper understanding of it.
