We will start our tour by walking along Racecourse road , see local murals and the Tan Teng Niah colorful house on Kerbau road built in the 1900 alongside the cattle and brick factories. The house was restored and conserved in the 1980s. Continue on Buffalo road where we can see the fruits and vegetables vendors as well as the garland makers.

Visit the Tekka wet market, see the traditional saris ,and sharwal kamiz outfits on the second level. Stroll in the market itself where fresh produce is sold daily and stop at various venders’ stalls before our refreshments break at the local Hawker Centre.

Cross Serangoon Road to the Little India Arcade where we can see Henna body paintings, sweet shops and Ayurveda.
We will also get a chance to see one of the South Indian Temples built in 1855 along Serangoon Road. It is dedicated to the Goddess Kali a consort of Lord Shiva built in a traditional Dravidian architecture style with its colorful façade (gopuram).
